The website tangchang.art is the official website and online shop of Chang Sae Tang Descendants Co., Ltd. The Tang Chang Private Museum and tangchangmuseum.com operate separately under the Tang Chang's Estate.

By ordering from or using this website, you agree to the terms on this page. We may update these terms from time to time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here and applies to orders placed after that. An order already placed is governed by the terms in force when it was placed.

This page also serves as the website's privacy notice. See "Personal Information" below.

Orders and Prices

Prices are shown in Thai baht and are the final amount payable, excluding shipping. The shipping fee is shown at checkout before you confirm your order.
An order is complete once we have verified your payment.
An order that is not paid within 3 days of being placed is cancelled automatically.
If an item turns out to be unavailable, or a price was shown in error after you have paid, we will contact you and give a full refund.

Payment

You can pay by PromptPay (QR) or bank transfer, using the details on your order page. Then upload your transfer slip on that page.
Slips may be checked automatically or by our staff.
Once your payment is confirmed, we email you, with a receipt you can download.

Shipping

We ship within Thailand, by the method you choose at checkout.
When your order ships, we email you the tracking number. Delivery time depends on the carrier.
If your parcel is damaged in transit, see Returns and Refunds below.

Returns and Refunds

You have the right to cancel your purchase within 7 days of receiving the goods by emailing shop@tangchang.art with your order number.
Returned items must be in their original condition, with no writing, folds or damage from use. If an item is damaged, we reserve the right to deduct the actual cost of the damage.
Return shipping is paid by the buyer.
We will refund you within 15 days of receiving your notice, through your original payment method.
Items defective or damaged in transit: please let us know within 7 days, with photos of the item and the parcel box. We will send a replacement, issue a refund, or take other action as we see fit, at our own shipping cost.
Some E-Books are sold through external websites. We only provide a link to them. Ordering, payment, access and refunds for those E-Books are governed by that website's terms and are outside our responsibility.

Copyright

The content, images and text on this website are protected by copyright. They may not be reproduced, adapted, distributed or used commercially without written permission. Buying a book does not transfer copyright in its contents or in the works reproduced in it.

Personal Information

What we collect

What you give us when ordering: your name, email, phone number, shipping address, notes, the items ordered, and your payment slip.
Account details, if you sign in: your email, name, phone and saved addresses. The website does not use passwords; it emails you a sign-in code each time.
What you send through the contact form.
Technical information collected automatically: such as IP address, browser type and server logs, for security and maintenance.

Cookies: this website uses only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and holds your cart, one that remembers your language, and security cookies set by our website provider. It does not use advertising or analytics services. If that ever changes, we will update this page first.

Why we use it, and the legal basis

To fulfil your order: verifying payment, shipping, contacting you about the order, and after-sales service. Basis: performance of a contract (Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), s.24(3)).
To issue and keep accounting records such as receipts, as the law requires. Basis: legal obligation (s.24(6)).
To keep the system secure and prevent fraud and spam. Basis: legitimate interest (s.24(5)).

We do not send marketing messages without your consent.

Disclosure: we do not sell personal information. We share it only:

with service providers that work on our behalf: email delivery, website hosting and security, payment-slip verification, and accounting;
with the carrier you choose, limited to what is needed for delivery;
where the law requires.

Some providers may process data outside Thailand. You can ask us by email for a list of our providers.

How long we keep it

Order and accounting records are kept for at least 5 years, as accounting and tax law requires.
Email sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes.
Other information is kept only as long as the purposes above need it.

Your rights: under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), you may ask us to:

give you access to your personal information and a copy of it (s.30);
send or transfer it (s.31);
stop collecting, using or disclosing it (s.32);
erase it, destroy it or make it anonymous (s.33);
restrict its use (s.34);
correct it so that it is accurate, current and complete (s.35).

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it (s.19). These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the Act, for example records we must keep under accounting law. Send requests to shop@tangchang.art. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (s.73).

Data controller: Chang Sae tang Descendants Co., Ltd., which operates TangChang.art.

Liability

We try to keep product information accurate, but errors can occur; please tell us if you find one. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss arising from use of this website. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
